Subdivision Earthworks (5–15 acre)

Mid-class excavator (20–30 t) plus tandem roller and skid-steer for cut-and-fill cycles. We size bucket capacity (m³) and ground pressure (kPa) to soft trench soils so gradeability does not stall the haul loop.

Paver, material transfer vehicle, two tandem rollers and an asphalt distributor keep mat density inside MoE windows. Loader support stages cold-feed bins without starving the screed.

Quarry Expansion (Greenfield)

Jaw to cone to screen sequence with rigid haulers and a drill jumbo. Output capacity (t/h) and discharge opening targets drive liner rotation schedules from the nearest parts hub.

Bridge Precast Lift (80–150 t)

250–650 t crawler crane with lifting beams and tandem rigging notes. Boom load charts, hoist speed and anti-two-block certs ship with the AS 2550 / ASME B30 lift-plan pack.

Urban Demolition (≤12-story)

High-reach excavator with shear and dust-suppression bowser. Operating weight and reach envelope are checked against street permits before the first panel drops.

Underground Tunnel (1–3 km drift)

Jumbo drill, bit kits and ventilation-compatible loaders move muck without exceeding tunnel clearances. Rotary drilling torque and pile penetration depth stay inside the geotech note.

Volume-driven sites usually start with a 20–30 t excavator and a wheel loader sized to the haul loop.
We attach EPA Tier 4 Final / EU Stage V dossiers to the quote so procurement can close compliance early.
Sites inside the 100 km ring qualify for <18h MTTR stocking of boom pins, filters and undercarriage groups.
Lift-plan sites route to crawler or tower crane packages with SWL re-cert windows booked before mobilization.
Embedded FSE coverage includes weekly ISO 4406 sampling and pin-gauge logs synced to your engineer of record.

When we will not force a crane-first package

Site-type selection is a trade-off, not a brochure upsell. These boundaries keep recommendations inside what the pad and the chart can actually support.

Soft ground vs wheeled access

Crawler undercarriage wins on low ground pressure (kPa) and deep digs; wheeled machines win on paved urban transfers without a lowboy. We will not quote a wheeled excavator for peat cuts just to cut transport cost.

Fixed electric vs diesel mobile lifts

Electric overhead spans suit stable indoor duty cycles; diesel mobile cranes suit outdoor radius changes. If feeder kVA or runway civils are missing, we route to diesel mobile with Tier 4 Final dossiers instead of pretending an electric bay exists.

Hub distance vs MTTR clocks

Contracted <18h mean-time-to-repair assumes the site is inside the 100 km hub ring for boom pins and filters. Beyond that ring we publish longer clocks rather than hide freight lag.
